I really want to get my knitting to the level where I can make things and know they will turn out and fit. I still don't have a great understanding of gauge (that is how many stitches and rows per inch.) I have had some luck making baby sweaters, but larger projects and especially pattern stitches I have a harder time with...Anyway, I am in search of patterns for a double breasted red sweater to knit in red and I am coveting what seems to be hot this year--I saw several in Chicago (kicking myself for not paying more attention to the one in the window in the shop in Andersonville--I said to
elf_chick Very cute but I don't think it would look good on me, she said it would, we went on with our evening)--these little sweater jumper/dresses that are probably too hot for FL anyway but extremely cute. I think heather or gray or black would be nice. I think the one I liked had a more trapeze/swingy feel than fitted though.
